The Urban Adventure Site

The Industrial Giant 3rd February 2002

The downstairs office area of the building was the first part I explored. The entrance is close to these offices. Mind you, there were offices scattered all around the complex. Right along the street sides of the building offices were located, as well as being around a small courtyard area. I could not explore some of these because they were very visible from the street.

My first view of the interior of the building. Note the stairs and the asbestos sheeting.

Looking north east towards the courtyard, the stairs are out of view on the left.

Massive room underneath the upstairs 'cafeteria' area. Looking north. The courtyard is on the right.

Some of the walls have the direction to the workman's exit marked on them. Others had area marked on them, probably for working out what sort of pollutants had to be removed.

What was once a main foyer and reception area near the south east corner of my hand drawn map.

Offices adjacent to the foyer area looking east. The foyer is on the south, the courtyard on the left is to the north, a stairway is visible through the wall. This is the one I used to come down from upstairs.

Looking into the courtyard, from the south side.

Looking west back to the first room I entered. This is the under 'cafeteria' room.

Extensively guttered office area adjacent to the under 'cafeteria' room. It had a big hole in the ceiling

The stairway to the upstairs offices.

Continue the tour upstairs

From Upstairs....

Looking out of the main foyer

The under cafeteria room again.

Back in the first room I entered looking north west. This passage leads to the Glass House

Hole leading right up through the level above

Looking up through the gap to the balcony hole I had looked down from above.

Fan area. This is directly below the fan area above. Ahead is the area I spotted work men in. The stairway is not the same one I went upstairs with.

Massive office along south side of the building.

Small office with wall crashed in.

Another office, but note the strange hole in the wall. It lead to a corridor behind here.

More of those strange holes. The one on the left was big enough to crawl through.

Shattered room with much of the ceiling gone.

Not sure why those holes seem spaced evenly. Maybe some one ripped down the lights.

All of the windows had been removed from the roof of the building.

Doors, lights and back up power system.

Back up power unit.

On to the Glass House
