Those radiating mortar "splat" marks are crazy!

Ironically, those make beautiful patterns...

I agree Chronic. If it werent for the damage, it would look like someone was throwing mud balls at the building. The holes while pretty, are a major reminder of a very gruesome violence.

notice how they are aligned with the floors at waist level as to hit someone on that floor

Yeah, now that you mentioned it Pandesic. I guess the idea was to flush out or kill whoever was in the building.

the windows that you see on the left hand side of the screen are actually the windows at the landing platform of the stiar well on each floor, and the stairs went half way up floor wise, then wraped around

That doesn't look like mortar hits. They would splatter downward, making oval patterns with a long vertical axis. These look like direct fire weapon hits. Rockets, cannon, even 40mm gernade (though they do look big for 40mm). The big holes with no pattern around them are likely HE, the patterned ones HE-DP, the small clean holes HE-AT.

im pretty sure they were just aiming for the building, they didnt really care where it hit as long as it was hit. Im pretty sure the holes at waist level and aim at the "stairwell" were coincidence

I saw some damage like those RPG strikes once in Alcatraz Prison. The guards had dropped grenades onto the floor where some escapees had huddled. Very similar.
