I carry leather ones with me, but they're more like work gloves, and I can't operate the camera with them on. They're more for situation where I think, "wow, that looks nasty/rusty/pointy... Of course like you said, why touch questionable objects with bare hands. So in that case a set of those Mechanix gloves would be ideal. Winter: I just have a lined set of deerskin gloves. But it's still a pain in the ass; gloves on , gloves off. I think for photography, a set of hunting gloves where the first two fingers flip away would be ideal. Like I said, warm weather gloves may be UE dorky but if you are cool, then a pair of tose tight kevlar police search gloves would be the shit.
