My mom used canned milk for her tea. It is "partley evaporated", which makes it more like cream, I guess. You can stock it on a shelf outside the fridge until you open it.

Assuming that it is mold, it looks like it is already open. You can see 2 concentrations of the stuff at oppisite sides of the lid, at approx 4 and 10 o'clock. If you are opening a can of liquid and not using all of it at once, like this, it is better to just make 2 small openings, one to pour through and one to let the air in.

People with breadboxes don't. Usually with a large family, you can go through a loaf before it has a chance to go bad. Though if the fridge is unplugged for 2 years, that kinda negates the whole concept, really. :/

If it is what was orifinally in there, it would be margriane (sp?) or whatever happens to it when it rots.

Looks like the ketchup bottle is putting up a good fight to protect its contents, but the label gave up the battle.

The green mystery tub WAS margerine. I recognize the brand. Chefmasters, or some such. My girlfriend informs me it's $0.97 a tub. Ain't autism grand?

Yeah, that margerine is not good for frying grill cheese. It's water content is too high.

anybody think to see what the expiration was on the tag that is still on the bottom loaf of bread? It would give a timeline of occupancy and potential health risk to making a grilled cheese with that oh so yummy margarine.....anybody dip grilled cheese in ketchup?
