if you do a graffiti, you know it won't last too long.. it's a normal thing.. but I have to agree that is an awesome art piece, but that blue thing.. hmm

i think he meant the mural was destroyed by the taggers, it was painted when jenkins was open its not grafitti, the taggers should have respected it

I worked there from 1980-1986 and that mural was in the front entrance behind the reception desk.

I worked in the small in house printing shop in the Admin building basement, and in the mail room for a while. The building to the left of the admin building was the cafeteria.

It says here that he came back in 1984 to touch up the mural. I seem to remember that, he would have been in his 70s then. http://www.gctinning.com/1960s/

I drove by once and honestly it looked like the place had been bombed out. Kind of sad seeing the place like that. Hell I can remember some of the guys in the plant who had worked there their whole lives. One guy was there 50 yrs.
