my view, when i saw him was simple.. he's on the mexican side, you are on the park side, the rules for that park state no loaded weapons, so... whenever i go to the hot springs i carry the 410 and 2 bear rounds.. keep it unloaded in a towel, he walked towards where we were, i got out of the water and made it visible, he went back and sat down. the worst part is, i have heard from some tourists that he will try to sell walking sticks, etc, if you cross to buy, then you either get robbed or held until your friend brings cash or toys (camera, gps, etc).. dunno if that is true, heard it from a few tourists... i will stick to keeping a weapon on me when there anytime near dark.

la mordiva "the little bite" thats how things works down there but I still think hes a cop look at those shades, waling stick peddlers and hombres de campo dont wear those I heard six students from some AZ college got shaken down for almost a grand here. Somebody really oughta shoot that guy. (not me though all I had was a stainless Walther TPH in the right boot magazine in the left boot, its unloaded of course)

heh the old mines are still toxic as hell, just depends on the temperature, at the very least, won't be cooking in it ;) as for the yurt, i figure i have an old sewing machine, and loads of old material, so... "patchwork yurt of doom" is on my project list right after the dune buggy ;)
