Location DB > England > Oxfordshire > Didcot > Didcot Power Stations > Didcot "B" > Cooling "towers"

10 / 10   Cooling "towers"

Description
The hybrid cooling towers are fan assisted. As part of the conditions set for the building of the station, the plumes from all cooling towers must be kept to an absolute minimum. I am told this is easier said than done on even slightly cold days!

What an awesome powerplant. It may not have been an exploration but knowing what the machines were for and seeing the different roles is interesting. It would also be cool to see again after it's decommissioned.

Do you realise how lucky you are ? I would doubt they would let you take pictures in a plant like this (or any other) here in paranoid North America !
