IanK1968: Actually, these are the gallows where they would hit them with a brick. Sometimes, mock them to death. (yes, they would hang by a rope until dead) :-)

That is extremely eerie. I have to say, I never imaginged hanging chambers to resemble the old recreation halls in church basements where cheap community events would be held by instructors who really didn't want to be there. I suppose that comparison is kind of ironic..
