An interesting little turntable type dealie in the foundry. Too small for a train car, maybe they used the track for carts of some kind.

if they were dealing with heavy machinery, everything moved around on tracks... that's probably what this is.

I doubt it was a turntable. It's probably just re-enforcement because that spot is a high stress area.

@ Gringo Loco, You might be right, but you can also see that there's an inner and an outer ring in the concrete base which leads me to believe that it could indeed be a turntable.
