nothing really, I just really like them. It's queen anne's lace, which is a member of the carrot family. SO, if you're lost in the woods and hungry, you can eat the roots, which smell just like carrots. (relayed to me by bob the almighty)

Really?! There are Queen Anne's Lace all over at my parents' house and I never knew that about them. Cool!

Queen anne's lace is just wild carrot but be absolutely certain that the root smells like a carrot when you break it. Hemlock looks extremely similar but doesn't smell like carrots and is also the most poisonous plant in this hemisphere. It's supposedly what Socrates was poisoned with.
