Description
Caption: AN ELECTRIC TRANSPORTER CRANE with a grab is used to handle the enormous quantities of coal used for the furnaces at Battersaa Power Station. The furnaces for the six boilers burn 17 1/2 tons of coal an hour. If all six boilers were worked at full pressure, they would use 2,500 tons a day. All the machinery at Battersea is operated by electricity supplied from auxiliary generators.

Great find! I would kill to see this place. Partly because of Animals by Pink Floyd... Sadly, it seems this place will be redeveloped by the time I'm old enough to leave my country behind for a while.
