there is a major clue here... that wall of river rock looks like a homestead foundation from settlers times.. probably 1850's... this is probably a european imigrant family who has kept the original homestead in the family over several generations... it gets used probably once or twice a year...

And the heavily peeling paint, a sign that the interior of the house has been exposed to a lot of temperature changes and moisture.
