The mall, sans the neon lights, looked really nice. I wish something else other than a big box retailer would go in :(

Makes me want to watch Saved By The Bell. The mall in my hometown in MO did a remodel in the past few years, but it looks like they updated to the 80s look, weird.

Yeah, I kind of miss malls with neon lights. One of my earliest memories from my childhood is being at the mall with my babysitter and looking at all the neon. It's tacky and stupid and they were quite right to tear the stuff down somewhere in the 90's, but I miss it on some nostalgic level.
