| | | Look the idea concept isnt that bad. It's been used by special forces for a damn long time. However where DarkTreader's whole conversation is there would be letters and numbers. That could cut down about 70-80%.

| | | I wouldn't mind getting a throat mic for my radio. I have 2 Cobra MicroTalk FRS 110's. The two things I don't like about these radios are the poor quality belt clips and the "beep-boo-beep" sound after releasing the talk button. A major heat score when silence counts. Are these the same kind you have Crossfire?

Similar, but not the same model. I think mine are 132's or something like that. I got them for Christmas with the desk charger unity. With mine, I can turn off that beep sound by pressing MODE and then using the Channel up/down button to turn the R/X signal to OFF. I hate that bloody noise, too. Mark, what kind of adaptor are you talking about, and where can you get such a thing? What do these adaptors do? C.

| | | Ok if you need to know about adaptors let me know through a PM what size plug you have for the radio and head set.

| | | A lookout who is parked nearby could use a car alarm to alert the team inside that the fuzz have arrived. The police are diverted and check on the car, the look out explains that the car alarm is malfunctioning. This isn't exactly quiet and the car and look out need to be Kosher (not wanted, no warrants, car's inspected, etc) as the police may check him and the car out, but this could work in a town. Only problem would be if car alarms go off all the time in that part of town - it would ruin your UE experience. As far as using the FRS radios, who cares who listens in if you use code phrases or words (it's even more James Bond like). "Jimmy, mom says to pick up some feed for the pigs on your way home" this translates - since you jimmy'd the door, pick up the pace, the pigs are on the way.

| | | We at Expedition NYC use radios. So far we've used them for two things: 1. If we're going into a structure near a street or a commonly traversed area, we'll place 1 or 2 lookouts with radios where there's traffic to alert the main team if anyone's coming. We've made up our own code for this: A4 = Pedestrian Vehicle A5 = Police/Security Vehicle A6 = Pedestrian on foot A7 = Some other uncategorized shit. 2. In a big place, we tend to get seperated sometimes as we're all off on our taking shots and stuff. This tends to happen in a place we're familiar with as there's not much exploring going on, but more photography. We use radios to maintain contact with one another.
