| | | I got in yesterday with no problem. I just parked, walked up, walked out. I didn't see any signs that the caretaker is still on the property.

| | | Hello all First post on this forum. Urban Exploration has always seemed interesting to me, but I never really found a place near me that seemed to hold the sense of awe that many of the other photographers have captured. My first encounter came through the site opacity.us that a friend stumbled upon, when I saw those images I was blown away, so I vowed to try it one day. Not long after I saw Trotting park off the freeway and wondered what it was. After some research I decided to give it a try. Not only that but I wanted to combine urban exploration with my other photography. Mainly portrait and automotive. I found a nice old factory on terminal island in California that I'm going to try to get my car into, but in the meantime I decided that Trotting Park was a good place to start with the portrait aspect. I wanted to mix beauty with decay, so with the help of my gorgeous friend Lavi, we ventured in. When we were on the roof we saw the police next to my car so we thought it best we leave before they tried to tow it and left us stranded. We also met an older man who said he was the manager of the trailer park next door, he told us the place was due to be demolished which is kinda sad, its a pretty interesting place. Anyway enough of my ramblings. I understand this is a bit different than most photos here but I figured I'd share. Here are the results, I look forward to your comments! I can dig up some more if anyone interested At the main entrance elevator shaft

Here are a few more taken at an abandoned farmhouse about15 minutes from trotting park:

| | | Quick update, I drove by yesterday. The caretaker has definitely vacated the property. His trailer is gone, along with all the other junk he had piled around it. Not that it's going to be a free for all or anything, I know the Goodyear PD still patrol there pretty regularly. There is a construction company actively working in the pit to the west of the site, it makes me think they may be getting ready to demo the place soon. I've head rumors that the pit was dug to bury the concrete from trotting park when the finally do the demolition. If anybody has any information on the demo status I would appreciate it.

I like those, but I think you really should have removed the natural ice box, and the wd40 can out of the scene. I think it clashes with these, and looks rather tacky. Otherwise, good job

| | | What can express "Urban" decay better than a cardboard beer container and WD40, it clashes with the beauty of this girl even more and definitely adds to the picture. Just my opinion...

This is from the Senior Development Manager of the City of Goodyear : "At this point we are not aware of any plans to demolish the building at this time. Certainly the property on which it sits will be a key freeway site for future development, but there are currently no plans in for review on any new development there."
