|  | | | There is an extremely large, "National Geographic" quality cave system a short drive outside or halifax, i cant give directions, or any specifics on the location because its in a environmentally sensitive area, which, up until this point has managed to evade major discovery and subsequent vandalism and destruction. I have been to the cave system before, earlier this summer, but by the time my friend and i found it (i was taken there by my parents years ago) it was getting dark and we couldn't make the 3-4 hour round trip it takes to walk from one end of the cave to the other, and out the far end and back to the entrance. We did explore the inside for a good hour and were very disappointed we didn't have the time to make the whole trip.
I would like to go during the day on Monday Aug 13th, or the 14th as i work nights in the summer and sleep all day, but am off mondays and tuesdays. If anyone is interested PM me or just post it here. PS, you can't be afraid of bats, there are thousands of them sleeping all over the roof of the cave

I've never been to the ovens and don't know where they are, so even with reading the first post I don't know that they are not Justout of halifax.
I would be interested in going if someone has a car, I'd chip in for gas.

I'd like to leave froma common place in halifax on monday morning around 10-1030is, that way we can eat lunch in the cave and then explore all afternoon.

I would say I'd go that day, 'cause I have it off, but I'm going to be in Hubbards that day playing paintball...damn. Oh well, I'll just have to get out there on my own sometime.
