Indeed. I have seen people do the art of Dune Boarding with mixed success.

I haven't been on here in a while but this topic is exactly what I am looking for. The Gates factory comments made me laugh pretty hard. Before the site was changed and everything was made for "full members only" I remember reading some reports on the Gates page where some guy had to hide in the trunk of an abandoned car because the security was chasing him out.

I never found much interest in drains, but it would seem most of the places that I have explored have been demolished, but then again, I can't access the listings for them, so I wouldn't know. I know the Sunset Beach rec center or whatever it was called in Golden is long gone (I went there 12/24/03, my pics are probably still there if it's on the site) and I don't know about the dog food factory in Longmont. Federal Heights was pretty boring and I ripped my jeans hopping the fence to get in there. I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting somewhere else I've been.

security isn't much

of the 3 times Ive been during their "watch"
once i found ONE in his car sleeping
twice i had free range of everything south of Mississippi and by proxy- the rest of it (via light rail fence issues)

but as far as i can tell- especially since these posts- work has slowed down a bit and security has relaxed.

The crews are only working in the main building-ground floor, the power plant and that small foundry type place in the north west corner. that still leaves about half the factory entirely open (literally, the structure is open)

in short- gates is probably the best "easy" site in denver (for the record)

anyone who plans on seeing this should go asap. i was there today and crews had torn down segments of the southernmost building and there was a crew on the roof.
