I'm going to be out in Denver this summer for a week to visit my sister, and i would like to do some light/easy exploring. My sister and my friend i'll be with won't want to take any obvious risks for sure.
Im just hoping you can suggest some out of the way/ interesting places, maybe some easy enter short drains?

It's in Colorado, north/east of the center of the state. Colorado is West of the states of Kansas and Nebraska, south of Nebraska and Wyoming, East of Utah, and North of New Mexico and Oklahoma.

We know where the city of Denver is.
We also know it's location on the map.
I think maybe "Where in Denver" meant which part of Denver are you going to be?
I could be wrong. Though. FunkerJoe may not know where the city he lives a few miles from is!

actually you probably can find some old places on the way to the Dunes.
That is one of my favorite places to go, btw.
