Likewise.

Happy with my maglite. Cost me $40 and still working.

I have two "tiny" 30 lumen LEDs that serve me well. Run on Metal Hydrids so they're dirt cheap, plus small.

However the CRI looks pretty good on these HIDs; perfect for lighting up for shoots. I still don't have a number, but looks like 80-85%, maybe higher.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

I have a surefire flashlight that retails for $500.00 USD
I just stole the thing from the gun shop.
It's only 700 lumens though...

ive seen an electric car that ran on something along the line of 400 AA batteries.

For 5 G's you could build an electric car with 6 halogen headlights. Big lights are useful, but too much light kind of messes with the UE feel for me.

Depends on whether you actually stole it, or if you just shooting a line of shit.

As far as headlamps go, the Black Diamond NightRay is quite excellent. It uses 3 AAAs, and while it isn't super bright, it works really well with a flashlight---you can use the lamp for close in stuff and the light for farther away. It uses LEDs, so it lasts a really long time.

Stealing from a gun store is one of the dumber ideas I've seen posted here.

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat being said, here's another shameless plug for my Petzl E+lite.

The red thing is the case for it. It's roughly the size of my phone, and holds the light and two spare batteries. I'm quite infatuated with the little thing, mainly because it's always with me as my keychain/lanyard.

Now that's pretty cool, how is the brightness/battery life on it?

I wont spend any more than $20 on a flashlight unless it's proven to withstand damn near everything.

I've been using it nightly for about an hour on the brightest setting, and 3-4 hours on the single red LED, for about two weeks now. I think I'll need to switch the batteries tomorrow, from the manufacturer's information.

These are what I use, I mostly explore underground, so I don't need to worry about too much light, although when I explore buildings I like to use the DeWalt light, it's nice and uses an 18 volt battery

headlamps are the best resource, keep your hands free, and less weight. I use an 8 led headlamp (kinda bulky) but it works well. I keep a 2-D Cell Maglight in my pack just incase, along with 2 light sticks.

How are light sticks? I was thinking about testing one out in a drain but wasn't too sure

With a low amount of light, and poor directional qualities, the light sticks would probably be best as an emergency/backup light. The chemical light sticks that is; the fluorescent ones that run on a battery could be useful

Buy a Streamlight ProPolymer. I lost it a few times, but haven't managed to break one yet. You break it, they'll replace it. Only thing not covered is losing it.
