You make it sound OK.
That is pretty awful, in fact.
What if you cannot defend yourself?
The average person could not defend themself if I wanted to do them physical harm.
Why should one be limited like that by the state?
And for what reason?
The criminal certainly will not be similarly limited.

There are some very young, BIG and strong criminals too.

The great equalizer is a good thing for law abiding folk.

Why? Because that's what the state/government/laws dictate, that's why. If you don't play by the rules set forth by those who make them, you can be punshed - that's one of the prices we have to pay to live in a free society.

And as members of a free society, we have the right and duty to tell our government when a particular law is screwed and should be changed to better serve the needs of the law abiding citizens. I obey the laws myself but if a law is either inadequate or unjust, then I would step up to have it changed. However, I will continue to obey it until it is changed.

Amen to that.

Brainwashed robot-speak.
Cast off a government that institutionalizes victimization.

You nailed it; however I believe Excal was just being realistic and practical in his assessment and not all dogmatic or idiosyncratic for that matter.

Kidding : I think Ex was just being practical.
