I got lazy and never posted them in the UEDB because sum of them are untouched, and even have alarms that i managed not to trip  But yea, PM me if any of you guys plan on doing a meet. I live in Tempe, so that would be cool, since i wouldnt have to drive so far.

Just signed up here and this sounds pretty awesome. I tend to explore old ghost towns and mines here in AZ, but am thinking seriously about going to the trotting park this weekend. I know for most it is probably old news, but given everything I have read, I get the impression they will probably be tearing it down soon.
I have dreamed of exploring this place for years, even as a kid passing by it has always fascinated me. I grew up in Long Beach, Ca and we took a number of trips over to AZ to visit relatives and this building has always fascinated me. I have two questions, the first one, is anyone else interested in going this weekend or giving a tour so to speak?
Secondly, can anyone tell me the best place to park so I don't spend half the time looking for a place to park that is out of sight?
We live in N Phoenix if anyone else is in the area.
The other place I would like to explore is the old track up in Black Canyon City, but this weekend the wife and I plan on hitting the trotting park for sure so any advice or comments would be appreciated.
Once it cools down, we will be back to exploring mines so stay in touch!

| | | | About the track in Black Canyon City, it is fairly easy to access but just watch out for the owls running into the glass and killing themselves, lol. About the trotting park...well stay away from a guy named TOM. He is the assistant manager to the trailer park, who owns the land, and he will kick you out and call the police even if you are taking pictures and ask him. There is somebody that you can ask to let you go in hassle free, pm me if ya wanna know. Or you could just use the old fandangeled method of just going in however and whenever you want...just watch out for tom. I am pretty mad that people want to start to get up now, because i am in maryland for my break until the 3rd....when i come back i can show some of you guys some awesome spots.

My overall UEing in AZ recently has been recently closed restaurants, bars, concert venues, etc. I am def up for a meet up, we just all need to conspire and figure out when would be best for everyone. Like mentioned earlier, i will not be back in AZ until spet 3rd, which will give us plenty of time to brainstorm places, and ideas of where we can go and where we can meet.
I mean i can plan a whole AZ meet up thing if you guys are interested, like make it an event, where we would go explore, hang out, and grab a bite to eat. Maybe even discuss politics, and plays games, or even get trashed. My pad is pretty bitchin, play games and watch movies on the projector...hells yes...well i will start to figure out the whole meet up thing if that is ok with everyone, since i know everyone is so eager to share each others stories.
BTW trevorland, i think i may know of a way into the phoenix station...but it wouldnt really be all that worth it but whatever...and lets see i know of possibly ten places, mostly bars, restaurants, night club, and fitness center with a pool...most of these places are locked up with keys,not boards or welds, and a couple even still have active alarms, but at the time thankfully werent armed, but i bet they are now.
Well i am looking forward to meeting each and everyone of you, and to be able to return to AZ from the craziness exploring of MD, hospitals and asylums. Good luck everyone, and safe exploring.
BTW, just post up some times and or days that would be good for you guys after the 3rd. I just have classes on tues and thurs and thats it so i am petty flexible. Just let me know guys, and keep it real till i return...pce

We also visited the school, to find it was stripped and gutted, with even the floor ripped up. It was being ready to be demolished, but i got pics though. I am so lazy,i have sooooo many pics of all the places ive been to in AZ and other places for that matter but never feel like posting them, i may just have to show you when we meet up.
I am also willing to take a road trip, if any of you are....maybe get some permission to explore this one place...a resort in the middle of nowhere...caretakers are present and are a bitch, but its worth a try. I mean we could even just drive around, since its the best way to find abandon places, and trust me there is ALWAYS a way in. But yea we can also just trade places, maybe make like a sweet master list of places...idk i need sleep...hope to hear from you guys soon.

AZSS? Um doesn't ring a bell.
We are at I17&Greenway and could certainly have a little get together for planning and whatnot. We have a pool, pool table, MAME machine etc so I'm down for the whole getting trashed and planning thing for sure. Another thought might be for me to dust off the HAM radio and get the police freqs put in so we have some ears as well.
Guys this all sounds pretty awesome. We just may have something developing here...
I know of a mine that I have been itching to check out. The last time I tried I popped a tire. HAHA and this was on our way back from out honeymoon in Crown King. At any rate, the one time I was there I met some guys who said there is a string of lights going way back in and all you would need is a generator to light it up. I got the generator ;)
I also know where one of the lava tubes up north are. My daughter and I started making our way down but batteries in the flashlight died  Would like to hit that place again as well. It is just out of Flag so it would be an early morning departure for sure.

I had contacted him about doing some mine exploring when I heard he was moving back out West, but Malign is actually in either Kansas City or Oklahoma City, I can't remember which. He used to be in Arizona.
