|  | | | Today I tried placemarking my conquests in GEarth. Two gripes about this technique: First, placemarks can overwhelm the actual map. Second, if you don't manually retain you'll lose them to Unsaved Data Purgatory. Anybody tried this?

Right click on a placemark and hit 'properties.' In the second tab you can change the appearance of the placemark. Color, scale, that kind of thing.

Of course, I explore in the armpit of the world. Once you get north of Toronto, that thing is useless.

The reason I did that was for the proliferation of neat bridges up and down the Schuykill. I never said that it was all abandonments, or, for that matter, all UE locations.
