| | | 16 and no license? How come? Had permit when I was 15 1/2 and got my license the day I turned 16......not a minute later. Then again that was a million years ago.

| | | What about some places in VA Beach? I can't travel too far either until the parts come in to fix either my car or my bike. I don't seem to see to many places in the area though... Rather upsetting...

| | | Well I"m sure everyone's done it at some point in time. That's right posted an "I'm a N00B" thread. I've been interested in older buildings and closed structures forever. Always loved poking around where I probably shouldn't and seeing what used to be. I have a love for antiques and exploration with a special love for amusement parks (Check out my write up on Chippewa Lake Park in the great lakes section). Currently living in Virginia Beach transplanted from northern Ohio thanks to Uncle Sam. I was stationed aboard a submarine for over 5 years. I am currently in college for IT/Web Design and as of last weekend am back down to only 1 job (I worked 2 and went to school full time all summer). I currently live at the oceanfront and lately have found the area lacking things to explore. If anyone is up for getting together sometime and knows somewhere to go poking through feel free to let me know. I look forward to being here and learning about things in the area as well as hopefully getting to go exploring.

| | | Hi, just joined, mainly for the mid-atlantic forum. I am located in Gaithersburg, MD. Found this site after searching through Nike silo databases; as there is a cool silo near my work that I never knew existed. Looking forward to finding more places. - Mike

I bet Ninjalicious never posten an "I'm a N00B" thread VA Beach eh? That's kind of near where I'm at. There are some awesome drains down there. Just pop some manholes near the beach I'm sure you'll find something. Or walk along the coast and look for outfalls.

| | | Hadn't really thought about popping manhole covers and wandering in THERE... Though I tend to avoid the sewage...
