You could just show your camera and your pictures instead of a silly card.

or blind the cop with the flash and take off.
Or maybe not. Someone mentioned social engineering. I think that is an acquired skill few attain. A get of jail free pass could actually work here, but your looking at this from the wrong angle.

| | | Posted by Chronos The one I was looking at had a photo ID and basicly just said that you were a freelance journalist and a member of the National Press Association. I know that ordering a press pass online wouldn't carry much weight, but with security gaurds who didn't know any better I could definitly see it being helpful.

| | | I think to some extent this thread highlights the tension between what we and how we see what we do. UE is basically illegal, we're trespassing, we're going into land areas which are not ours and poke around (usually) against the wishes of the owner. We put ourselves at risk which we are not legally free to expose ourselves to. To us, those who practice and love UE, this is worth it. We know it's illegal, and we do it anyway, on some level we are prepared to pay the price if we get caught. Some of us, believe we wil never get caught....until it happens: "Over a long enough timeline everyone's chances of survival drop to zero". To me at least, a big part of UE, is that i am pursing my interests, my hobby, outside of what normal society considers acceptable, it's not like i'm breaking an entering, i'm not hurting anyone so why not do it? The rush one gets from entering a new building and carefull crawling through decades of forgotten history, whilst all the time being aware of your surroundings, would be lost.
