Anyone ever think of an ultrasonic dog whistle? They only cost like $5.00 and it is pretty cheap insurance against being chased backed over the fence (if you make it).

I bought one of those from a pet store (surprisingly hard to find a store that had them) and it didn't even work.

I ran into a pack of wild dogs yesterday while at a coal processing plant in West Virginia. Definately NOT a place you want to run into them either.

wild dogs will never come up to you.
i work with feral dogs and rescue etc.
if you see them, they're petrified of you.
don't try and touch them-not that you could get close enough.
but they'll run away fast.

i don't believe in falling things at all.

	take a dog treat and throw it, if dogs goto it, you know theres dogs. Or, something better, goto petsmart and buy a dog-clicker keychain, its 1 dollar and it clicks and makes dogs excited, so when youre somewhere, click it a few times and if you hear dogs then run. I like dogs
