	The ones I've seen on ebay are IDENTICAL to the ones I've seen at surplus stores, same packaging and everything, so I'd imagine it'll be every bit as reliable for usually like half the price, so ebay would be my bet. 	I saw one in the Brigade Quartermasters catalog. It was kinda pricey but appeared to be top notch. I don't use them, but it would seem that if you are climbing up something tall enough to require a grappling hook, you probably wouldn't want cheap equipment. Those who make peaceful change impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

	They don't carry lockpicks anymore - at least not the last time I went there. They always had them under the counter and were hush-hush about them. 	That's pretty much the exact same hook you'll find anywhere. chances are there's dozens of different manufacturers of them though. unfortunatley there's usually no way to find out who made them Contrary to popular belief, death isn't just for dead people. 	I can't really recommend those cheap ones. I've owned several over the years and had them all break eventually. Luckily, never when I was at a significant height. I suppose they're ok for getting over walls and other low height scaling, but I wouldn't use one to reach a height I wouldn't want to fall from. Here's a pricier alternative. I agree. I would only use the cheap ones for relatively low walls and such. I wouldn't try to climb a six story building with it. The though of it failing at the fifth floor isn't too pleasant.
