If you are a decent tax paying photographer genuinely leaving only footprints, you aren't going to be convicted of a crime. A $65 ticket is your fate, usually you can talk your way out of that as well. |
I got a criminal mischief charge for being in the subway tunnels, wasn't doing anything there other then looking around. They mentioned having to shut the power off, so that is something extra. The TTC wannabe cops don't get much excitement, so maybe they just wanted to get as much out of it as possible, they also held us over night even though we were obviously not intoxicated. The charges got completely dropped for me, but not for my friend who got a suspended sentence and probation IIRC. I really wish I knew then that their union rules don't allow them to run at track level: We'd have just ran.
