Its what we have been doing for some time now. Unfortunately you do run into a lot of dud spots BUT that makes a good one all the more awesome when you stumble upon it. Sure, most things have been explored before but so long as its new to you, you will still enjoy it just as much. Can't say I've ever personally searched google for a copy of known.doc but at the same time I've never had the need to. One thing I can tell you though is that anything you find (if you do happen to struck luck and find a copy) will have old UBD references and things like that. You could still get a general idea of where "x" drain is but exact reference details would be outdated by now. GPS co-ords FTW!!
