| | | Nice! Annie and I were caught there by the most docile, quiet and kind security guard. He wanted us to go but we kept suggesting he let us explore a little more. And he let us. But we took off before our welcome was too worn...

| | | Thanks guys. I really like the Filth Trees too. I was a bit obsessed with that window when I found it! Fedge: Glad you got to see at least a little bit of the site! Security and owners are friendly there. Security obviously hasn't been as tight lately as some people think, judging by all the recent graffiti and damage.

great pics! i really should take a visit here before the wrecking ball completely smashes it. i was under the impression that it was mostly gone. obviously theres a little bit left to look at -- and its winter, so its a decent indoor location.

Thanks! The tower itself isn't going anywhere. The intention is to preserve and re-use it again. Was supposed to be a movie studio, but that fell through. The rest of the buildings are pretty much gone, except for the facades facing the streets and the big chimney (though I heard that has to go away, unfortunately).

| | | I too love this place. I think they have to keep the facades as part of their new development, but I could be wrong. Here's one from mid-demolition:
I live close-by and am always up for a visit so PM me if interested!

| | | I was there too, and without a tripod, I didnt have many nice shots. I loved this loaction. You've got some incredible shots! I love the elevator shaft one.
Do not worry if you have built your castles in the air. They are where they should be. Now put the foundations under them. |

| | | My favorite part was the garbage shoot.. Its looks like one of those old school carnival slides.. I was tempted to slide down it, but I would rather not find out where it goes..
