nah no mountain lions in this part of ct. its in the bell building at nsh if anyones in the basement and wants to take better shots of it

Oh there's at least one mountain lion about 40 miles north of there. I've seen it, twice. My dad's almost hit it with his truck too. They track up to a 100 mile loop ... you never know.

I have a feeling the bee shooting dogs might have been eaten by one.

what animal is this?

well, it is MOST DEFINITELY NOT a domestic cat.
due to a couple things, this is probably a raccoon...
one, those little fuckers get everywhere...
two, if you look at the front teeth, the ones that protrude forward, there is a small space in between them and the ones behind it. that is a common aspect of raccoon type of skull.
i have many, and have seen almost this exact same post mortem pose, PLUS! maggots and grey flesh wriggling, you couldnt even tell they WERE maggots until you got close up... the skin was rippling like the waters of a disturbed sea.. just kidding, not that harsh..

Two pics, same place.

One would probably some sort of fungus that grows on wood.
Other would most likely be a cat.

But you're welcome to take your pick :)

Some fun with skulls... (just providing for anyone who wants to look closer at animals they find...with the pictures provided to us, we can't really tell between racoon or cat because of the mold/fur and the area of teeth in question with gaps or not is not clear enough). Edit: On second thought - raccoon is the clear winner - the sloping of the skull vs. the roundness of a cat's skull.

1. Cat Skull. Note the spaces you speak of, but they are in the cat skull, not the raccoon skull. Also, in the raccoon pictures, there is a tiny tooth there that may not be visible in a dead one, but there is a tooth there.

2. Racoon skull. Again, note there is no gap.

3. Possum skull. Easily identifiable and distinguished from racoon or feline skulls.

4. Just because someone mentioned it (LOL) here is a mountain lion skull, although of course this animal is too small to be one ;)

That would be a .jpg image.

It's a shot in the dark, but maybe an old fractional distillation column, with collection (or dispersion) chambers at the top... Where did you find this object?

This is something I spotted in a basement. It was a rolling cart and the white things are porcelain light fixtures. I have no idea what this was for...

It was in a hospital. Suggest some sort of drip machine, or enema perhaps. The end of the pipes tasted really nasty, so perhaps an enema machine? Neko.

You tasted a mysterious machine that you found in an abandoned hospital?
