There are some good hospitals out that way. I myself have not been, due to not having explor"er" friends out that way. If you manage to get in hit me up. I'm in K-zoo every other month or so DJ'ing or whatnot. Good luck.

I vacationed a lot up north, but around Traverse City and in the UP, and there's some fantastic stuff up there. Old mines, logging abandonments, even one massive bridge that looked fantastic, all interesting stuff. There was never a whole ton of stuff in Niles when I lived there, but some of the old Studebaker buildings in neighboring South Bend Indiana were pretty fantastic.

This will be officially my first post in the great lakes region! (I tried talking to some AZ peeps but I think they shut me out :-/ ) I'm currently in Willis which is outside of the Ann Arbor and hopefully will be able to meet up with some people in the area and check out some places in Detroit, A2 and other surrounding areas.
