Thanks Axle. It was f-f-f-f-freezing out, but worth it. I expect to get feeling back in my fingers any day now.

I think perhaps in the spring, I'll take a run out and see if I can't make contact with the person living on the property. I'll see how they feel about allowing a group in to have a look, and get contact info to set a date and time.

When I've done that, I'll check with folks on here and see if we can set the date and time we can all be there (you too Roseanne, this is your post) and then set it up.

Everyone ok with that?

**EDIT** Note the statue near the roof. It's still there.

Totally, and I'd be forever grateful, too!!! As I mentioned before, I'm a chicken shit about knocking and asking. But for me, the thrill of UE/RE isn't in the being sneaky part, so having permission will just let me relax and enjoy it all the more. It'd be great to meet you other local explorers. I sure hope the guy says yes, and I sure hope there is a floor left to stand on in there. lol

Editting to add more because we were posting at the same time:
Wow! I love the historical pics...glad you were able to dig them up. I noticed the statue is still there and it's the main reason I was so glad I was able to zoom quite a bit...I took my front picture from the parking lot of the marina (about 270 yards according to Google Earth)...I am assuming it's a statue of St. Joseph.

The ground seemed solid enough at the bottom, but I don't think there's anything left above that... just beams.

Good...ground is good.

fivepointsix, I love your avatar...made me giggle out loud! The shell of the structure seems to be intact so I don't think any of it has fallen. It's probably the perspective.

Keep in mind there was an additional 3/4 of a floor contained within the roof area which has collapsed, I believe, as a result of the fire.
