I heard Northville had some really awesome tunnels and there is no on site security.

I'd say don't miss Highland Park - Abandoned police station, fire station and court house. Right on the road so best go after dark so not to be seen.

I would not recommend going to NRPH. It's sweet, but it's pretty dangerous. When you're in the tunnels there's no easy escape if you encounter someone with bad intentions.

This happened recently when a man was shot in the tunnels. The hospital is now at the center of a political fight and many protests. Since the shooting and controversy, the police have been watching it closely.
Here's an article about the shooting: http://www.journal...g-at-hospital-site

lulz at northville's security

Agreed! It's just a couple of families living in mobile homes on the property! I'm more nervous for them than I am for any of us!

By the way, if offered, would you live on the property of an abandoned building for "security purposes" with low rent?

I sure as heck would! That'd be sweet. I'd also make the case that I needed to regularly "patrol" and "document" the buildings on the property. For "security purposes" of course.

the "guards" aint allowed in the buildings.
like mentioned above, theyre not really guards, they live there low rent.
as soon as they moved in, they went and registered to vote in northville.
since the developers plans were turned down by township officials, they had the "guards" pass around a petition to have NSH aka NRPH annexed to neighboring livonia.
under michigan law, the only people who get to vote on this are residents of livonia, and the registered voters living on the hospital property.
this vote will take place on 8-5-08, so if ya aint been, id hurry up.
dont let the people in the trailers see you, you WILL be arrested!

i think theyll demo the place asap, however, the sewage and water on that property will still be owned by northville, plymouth, and another city i cant remember right now. so id bet that on august 6th, once the hospital is part of the city of livonia, the sewers and water will be cut off, and will stay that way until 2011.
lol

its a mess.

and those shootings....
one was a security guard (who didnt work at NSH). him and some friends were going to explore the place. when they were getting out of the car, his gun accidentally fired and hit his buddy in the leg.

the other shooting story, the one that was linked to here, was probably complete bullshit. i have reasons for thinking that, but i cant talk about them.

i started going there right after it closed, and have never seen a cop.
i do get messages on the northville myspace from people who have gotten busted there. a lot of them werent very bright and parked in areas that i wouldnt risk. people should look at google maps before they park i guess.

the nrph myspace is here... http://myspace.com/northville_psych
