| | | I've found hair that looked like it could be human, but nothing else. If I did find a corpse I would probably be more grossed out by the maggots.

Isn't there a law about mistreating human remains? Even if you casually happen to discover something vaguely human, aren't you required by law to report it?

Nothing I haven't seen before unfortunately. I'd probably just be like, "Ah shit, well I guess I should call someone" while trying to overcome the urge to poke it with a stick...

Technically the government can't force you to report anything as it may possibly endanger you. Morally though, its up to you. Actually, I found some Australian law about reporting Aboriginal remains, but they could hardly enforce that. http://www.austlii...ha2006164/s17.html [last edit 6/12/2008 1:07 PM by Construct - edited 1 times]

Call someone, then split, unless you want "fun" to ensue like what happened me, as I mentioned earlier in this thread.

| | | What i found wasn't a whole body, but someones kidney! Found a smashed jar in an abandoned hospital, had been on the floor for years, looked all dried up and the fluids were smeared on the floor and it was all cut up by the glass. Label was still intact though

| | | I've unfortunately found more dead birds dogs and other assorted small animals to last me a lifetime. Once at Redpath there was a room where someone had strung up like 75 different bird skulls by the eyeholes. When the wind blew it was like a freaky morbid chime. And I found a dead guy once but I was looking for a place to smoke, not UE'ing. Went home, dropped of the goods, went back and called the "Hortons"
I'll never forget the smell. I showered for an hour after I got home.
I’m quite positive that you’ve slept with someone uglier than me, and I’m sure I’ve slept with someone hotter than you. So let’s just call it a draw. |

| | | was exploring an old factory in alabama and found what looked like a murder scene. 2 big puddles of a dried dark substance, then it looked like whatever the substance dripped from was dragged away. not sure but judging from the area i concluded that i found an old murder scene. we have lots of missing people (a.k.a. unsolved murders) in that area anyway...

| | | In the U.S., no, to my knowledge there is no law against mistreatment of human remains, other than Native American remains or if you're tampering with a [potential] crime scene. In the U.S., necrophilia is on the books in [i believe] 13 states, and I'm not sure if it is on a federal level (probably is). That's usually defined as inserting something into one of several other somethings on either body [yours or it's]. Outside of that, there's just disposal laws (burial in deemed correct locations, ashes to be spread at green space ONLY [but that's hardly followed]) etc. etc. update: someone might bust you on robbery or B&E if you pocket a fingerbone, kidney, or dried up fetus, so watch out. | | | Story Time =) My Dad used to work at the Marriott Hotel in Worcester in the 1980's ... when there was a Marriott Hotel in Worcester; Sous Chef. My dad worked with this girl who lived a decent distance away in the inner city and used to bum rides to work and stuff... So my dad was supposed to pick her up the next day so she didn't have to walk. He gets to the apartment and no one answers, so he walks down the road a little bit to he mothers apartment and on the way his coworker was keeled over in a gutter, dead. So he called 911 waited for the paramedics to arrive told them where the girls mother lived. And decided to not stick around; and went to work... He found out later she had Overdosed on Heroin... I've never found a dead body... I've see a guy die in front of me, though. But there was this customer in the resurgent where I work who died in the lobby; He was diabetic and forgot to take his insulin. He fell off his chair, had a seizure, and stopped breathing... The EMT's wouldn't move the body I mean "Help him" till they had cleared the customers out of the way... He didn't have a chance to eat anything though, so not my fault!

| | | QUOTE: I wouldnt waste time calling the cops. I'd give those 4 sick fucks a taste of John Browning's precision engineering. In my case, they would experience some of Glock's craftmanship. Then I would call the police and explain how the 4 guys tried to attack me when I stumbled upon their sick scene. hell, I'd introduce them to the wonderful work of two German lads by the names of Heckler and Koch. You guys carry guns while exploring? I thought that was a major no-no. Can't that turn your trespassing charge into an 'armed robbery' charge or something retarded like that if u get caught? I mean I could see the plus sides of having a side arm during an explore but I would never wanna explain to a cop why I have a loaded weapon inside an abandonment.
