meet-ups/looking for urban explorers in central MD

Hello-

I'm interested in meeting other urban explorers in the Baltimore/central Maryland area. I've been exploring for a few years and have totally worn out my boyfriend, friends, and family, and I don't feel safe entering abandoned buildings alone.

I am totally new to this forum. Is this a good place to meet fellow explorers? If not, do you have any recommendations of where I can meet people to explore with?

I have multiple locations to share. Some I have been to before, and others I have not been to yet. I just need people to go with!

I am 24, a teacher, and live in Howard County MD.

I am including a few highlights of the buildings I've gone into.

Thanks!

-Elise

Hey! I am from Howard County as well, so that is awesome. However, I am 17 and I think my parents would be sketched out about me going to abandoned buildings with 21 year olds. Maybe we can think of something though? I know a really great location I am going to bike to this summer, maybe we could meet up there.

This is beautiful.

I get around when I can. Some of my friends just don't get the whole "exploring" thing. Welcome!

I'm a 21 year old college student living in Baltimore. I'm just getting into the hobby and would love to meet up with some fellow enthusiasts.

Hey all! I'm 24 and in Rockville/Potomac area. Been looking for folks to explore stuff with and would be happy to join in. Don't mind driving to a cool spot during weekends provided there's something to see. I'm actually planning to explore Fort Carroll near Baltimore this spring so hit me up if something interesting comes to mind.

Cheers!

hey man, i'm in the DC area..
Northern Virginia,
I've been wanting to go to Fort Caroll since i saw Dan Haga's pictures, it looks awesome.
I'm looking for someone who can go places with me too,
i have friends who think it's cool, but not many are willing to devote themselves to making a concerted effort to get somewhere.

Hmm, didn't think about coast guard although when I drove on the bridge I've seen kayaks tied near the fort dock multiple times. Think anyone actually gives about people exploring these places? I mean, other forts are open for exploration, more or less but are such bum nests that I'd rather not go there. Thanks for the warning though, I'll do some more research on this subject.

Yeah, I know about the bird shit and prepared for that. Though it's unlikely to be a problem since it's pretty humid around water and not too much dust/particles should be in the air. As for bad water, true that, it's scary seeing folks going for a dip there. But I guess anything goes when it's 100 degrees outside. I was planning to kayak to the place or something or that sort but I guess we'll wait and see.
