It's the Govalle Wastewater Treatment plant in east Austin. It's open for visitors most days.
We also checked out the Green Water Treatment plant on town lake. I believe you can get a tour of that place too without any hassel. The Green plant is where they treat the clean water to make it potable and Govalle is where they treat and clean the poo water before it's pumped back into the lake. It's actually cleaner than the lake water when they pump it back in.
Remember to wash your hands.

| | | | Between kruiningen and Perkpolder used to be a ferry. You could cross the Westerschelde canal and have a cup of coffee or snert while the boat brings you and your car to the other side in half a hour.
The ferry stopped in 2003 because the tunnel under the westerschelde was ready. The ferry dock is abandoned since that day. I went there to photograph the remains of a rich ferry history for Holland.

Had to reduce the quality a lot to get it to fit under 100k.
