well now i'm totally confused. i don't know anything about the paramount cops...i thought starman was talking about regular state troopers who use apparently do use that building with the cop cars always parked behind it. is the movie shoot using state troopers who work out of that building...or do they have a separate cop thing going on?

they are regular police but my understanding is they are paid by paramount for security

I tend to doubt this... Paramount owns the property for another year, and they aren't supposed to be gone for at least another month... what time were you there at?

I was there recently as well.. we were just strolling around the campus and we found a prop for the movie.. the nazi train car? it was pretty creepy to see actually.. kinda cool I guess.. I'm surprised I didn't see any security..

The Nazi train car was taken from the Taunton set. They turned Whittendon Mills into the Dachau death camp from WWII for use in a flashback scene (which I have to say, was pretty damn exaggerated). The main setting of the movie is what Medfield is being used for, which is actually supposed to be a mental hospital on a Boston Harbor island in the 1950s, hence the 46-48ish Buick in Willskith's photo there.

It's still in the air as to what the title is going to be, It was originally listed as Ashecliffe, then to Shutter Island like the book, then back to Ashecliffe. Title designs have already been made for "Ashecliffe" using a font similar to the stencil painted signs you'd find in state hospitals in the 40s/50s, I was surprised when I got the paperwork to leave in my vehicle at Dever (they made us park there). It actually looks pretty cool and I'm betting the movie's gonna be good as well.

I wouldn't F with any security or authorities on any sets...they were pretty furious when people snuck through the woods at the Taunton set and made MPEGs of the scenes being shot...that would be my guess for the beefed up security at other spots.
