| | | For me, it was Hoosac Tunnel, Mass. While it's above sea level, the mountain is about 1,600 feet higher than the track.

| | | Doai-eki, the deepest railway station in Japan (300m+), and while not abandoned, it feels like it and is a great explore:

More than likely the 7860' level would be 7860' down from surface or entrance depending on mine type.
It was in September, we saw their silhouettes fade away, outlined on the horizon against the rays of the setting sun. |

No I know that, I was just wondering about the area itself. Interesting to see its no longer INCO but Vale Inco. http://en.wikipedi...iki/Creighton_Mine So how long does it take to get down to that level? I see production is 6 days a week ;) [last edit 2/26/2008 1:13 AM by Air - edited 1 times]

| | | My exploring has taken me around 120ft underground, not counting caves. Honestly there isn't much of a difference between 20ft and 120ft, except the deeper tunnels are warmer, wetter, and have a lot more ladders going down.
