I guess it was more of a story of the life of walter freeman, but alot of the guests speakers were filmed inside what looked like an old state hospital.

there was alot of talk about St. Elizabeths in DC, along with vintage photos. some talk about pilgrim state, byberry, etc.

I couldnt have been the only one to see this.

YES. i decided to watch "the lobotomist" last night because i knew "life after people" would re-air eleventy times.

this show was amazing. there was a lot of footage from inside several asylums showing life in state hospitals, different treatments and therapies, and of course many clips and photos shot during the different lobotomy procedures.

they mentioned and/or showed photos and video from st elizabeths, byberry, pilgrim, lakin state, hudson and more.

for anyone who missed it, it's a must-see for asylum junkies. at the end of the program they said it'd be available to watch in its entirety online (tho it isn't up yet).

I caught the last ten minutes when it aired, but I got a chance to watch it this weekend. It was great.

I have ordered My Lobotomy by Howard Dully and The Lobotomist by Jack El-Hai, both featured in the show. I hope they are great books.

I hope these are not self-help/ do it yourself books.

The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us?
