I'm used to strips coming out magenta scanning blue/green. The warm reds, and orange are new to me and kind of cool in my opinion. The colors give a different look to this commonly photographed location. [last edit 10/30/2007 7:44 PM by DanWhitham - edited 1 times]

| | | I think the red is too much. Everything else is pretty good, I'm not sure of what exactly I would have done differently, but the red seemed too much as I was scrolling. I like the cool temp. of the set, however.

| | | I'm usually not a big fan of X-processed shots.... but I am really digging these shots! A lot. Fantastic shots at a place that gets shot to death. oh, and for some weird reason; i'm digging the reds.. somehow. good work, in my opinion.

| | | I like it on 2,3,5,11,20. It's a bit much to look at as a set though. I'd like to see some of these in a portfolio type setting where it's not so much red all together. These seem overexposed too...but I say that a lot to you so maybe you just like em that way. The only thing wrong here is that the blue tub shots need to stop. At least find a different angle...its a shot that has officially lost all impact on me.

I agree totally that all the red kind of starts to irritate the eyes a bit as a full set, but I like to keep the sets together as I post them up on this excellent website. Never really made a portfolio before, but a few people have told me to start working on one recently. If I do I will be putting one or two of these photos in it. Some of these photos I really dig, some I don't care much for. I figured I would post the majority of the roll showing people the differences you can get in cross processing a roll of film. This was the first time I ever saw such warm colors come from a roll of cross processed Fuji film, then again it was the first time I ever shot Astia, also the first time ever hearing of it. I personally like Provia much much more because it delivers much cooler colors. I always try something once though. For the blue tubs shots sake, I really don't like the photo of it much anymore. The first time was cool but after a while like you said the shot really hurts to look at. When I shot the set I tried shooting to replicate the first time I ever photographed Norwich State, just so I can see the differences of the two styles. No hard feelings though, I like the positive & negative feedback all the same. P.S. One thing has changed for the blue tub in these photos though, it's more purple then blue.... ;)
To everyone else who posted feedback in this thread, thank you as well. [last edit 10/31/2007 6:06 AM by DanWhitham - edited 1 times]
