If it's acceptable for anyone who's a basic member to post off-topic threads in Main, just because they may or may not be interesting, then you're going to have a serious problem down the road.

Well you did ask what I think. Sorry if that crunks your pride I can tell theses are well made out of proper "tool" steel, I just think the design is poor for fighting or hunting or general purpose cutting.

There are some tanto designs that cut well but they are thinner and have less included angle and some belly to the main edge. These are straight, very machine like straight and should cut about as well as any comparably thick shank. But they wont cut as well as a $65 high carbon KBAR in actual use on rope, making shelter, or slicing through heavy clothing.

Made to be used on what?

This isn't tool steel, it is stainless and they are designed for defense firstly. Other normal cutting chores should work alright. People buy knives for whatever THEY want to use them for, rarely for their intended purpose. I don't mind criticism, helps me refine my ideas.

But absent of that, the site's rules (which I assume exist for a reason) should be upheld, even if it means deleting someone's impressively sharp, pretty things.

K you are one of the most out and out hilarious people I've ever met on-line. The sad thing would be if you were serious about UER rules?

Do you miss being a mod now or something?

I'm an avid collector and user of knives and love what you have here. If I had more money, I would purchase a set.

Well for these knives my cost is right about at $100 per, that doesn't include the % some sites are going to want to take for their own if I become a new vendor here or there. For other knives of different steel the cost would be less, the cost of my tools is far less considering I do all the work and only have to send them to be heat treated when finished.

Thanks a lot medic, write me later and let me know what you have in mind.

Nice blades....for sure, wouldn't mind having them in my collection......(here it comes) BUT I will stick to my KA-Bar for defense.

My friend recently got into knife construction as well. Granted hes new, his tooling isn't as remotely as clean. However I have liked his innovations and design changes with blades.

I found out just how easy it is to make and harden blades which was very interesting to say the least.

As for yours. I love tonto blades, but I am not big into push daggers at all.

Three things to think about on the tontos.

1. The top serrations/ maybe really deep grip area, seem a bit out of place. If its for friction I think a lighter cut would be adequate, like you find on most pistol slides. If its a saw, its far to short and probably not useful

2. The styled hand guard section looks nice but doesn't seem to useful.

3. The but of the handle seems kind of pointless(pardon the pun). If you have a point on the tip, why have a point on the back. A chisel style but might be very useful and can still probably give you good looks.

Just food for thought.
