Actually it wasnt scary at all but now I have lured you into my thread.
Basically this is a huge home for people with mental disabilities that was closed down about 30 years ago.

The people who run the place must be mentally disabled because all the lights are in the kitchen!

My laptop ate 90 or so pictures when I put the card in its card reader or there would be more pictures. We lost our pictures of the gym and the swimming pool and a street sweeper, yes a street sweeper. The place is next door to a juvenile detention center, a highway, and a still in use water tower so its always a thrill parking my car in the bushes and running across a busy road into a place that runaways from the jail go to. My girlfriend is the one that takes the pictures, I just take her to the places and post the pictures. She wanted credit.

Nice location and a nice tour of the place. You gotta get someone to go back with you though and get those tunnels. No doubt that's where the good stuff is.... the really dead bodies.

This was in use till the early 90's. It closed after a kid drowned in the pool. He got in through an unlocked door, and of course lawsuits followed along with claims of neglect and abuse.

We lost our pictures of the pool but the pools actually were kind of creepy. One of the pools(there were 2) was filled with about 4 feet of water that was pitch black and you literally could not see past 1 foot of water in the pool. I know this because my girlfriend threw her gum into the pool. Also there was a snake swimming in the pool.

One thing I forgot to mention is that we found a doll in a hallway with sticks in its eyes and it looked really ragged. Kind of creepy I guess.

It sounds like you have been here before Bucky so I have a question for you. Is there really a morgue? I looked around but never found anything that looked like a morgue.

Down through the trap door, third tunnel on the right, second door on the left. Can't miss it.

We wanna see the pics and that's gotta be where all the really gross bodies are. I'd get someone to go with me though, someone who can run for help if need be.

Now I know why you wanted me to go down the hole, raticus must feed!
I went down the hole and went about 50 feet down it until I heard something behind me. I was cornered..behind me was an earthen wall and in front of me was darkness and the sound of breathing...then there he was...raticus in all his glory about to claim another victim.

As raticus dived for me I jumped to the left and was able to make it out of the tunnel. I quickly closed the hatch and covered it with several tables and chairs. But for how long will raticus be trapped in the tunnel? Maybe another adventurer will be lured into his lair..

Seriously though I dont plan on going back for a while, I'll probably check the tunnels out next time I go because I'm nice like that.

Nice set. It stinks you lost some of the pics, but I look forward seeing more shots from your next trip!

Dammit, I almost had you, too. Oh well, at least the picture you snapped is of my best side.

I think I did find a big insane asylum place and its only a 2 hour drive away. I'm looking forward to going there so I might go next weekend!

If you do send some places that would be nice, I'm not asking for hand outs, but anything helps. Thank you if you do though.

Just be super methodical when exploring it--a bunch of seasoned explorers missed a morgue in an abandoned hospital after quite a few visits. The n00bs that I took out with me on a follow-up visit found it.

BTW, we want to see pictures. Dead bodies are a definite plus!
