I used to live out that way and I never saw anything that caught my eye, and I drove around plenty. Philly can be scary though, some parts of town I wouldnt venture into without a weapon

yeah. my car died in North philly at midnight once. EEK! fortunatly i got it started again, but i was crapin' my pants for a few minutes there.
I did work on a TV show when i lived there, and i knew a guy on the crew who used to wander the subway tunnels, although i never did get to go with him. there is a very cool train tunnel (not active) that i LOVE:

yeah, i used to date a girl in drexel hill, and i would take market/walnut to get there/back. i'm glad the lights are timed so you dont really have to stop.
i also had friend who lived in a highrise near where that church tower that collapsed a few years ago - we actually watched it from her window on the 13th floor - but she was right on the edge of univeristy city and west philly
