| | | These are mine from my favourite local site, HRPC: On the way out
Up front, smaller building
I carried this stick as protection from the red fox, just in case they were rabbid.
This would have been better if...it was in black and white, if it was night, if the light was on, if the building was operating and the lights were on, if it was raining. How emo of me!
Showing it's neglect:
I actually walked up to the security on the way out if I could have a quick pic inside, they said no lol, but they were hella cool.
However, before leaving, I did get some other shots!
Again, it would have looked better at night, lights on, etc...
Towards the back of the "small building"
Oh look, an open door! Too bad I didn't go in; I'd already been officially "warned" to leave.
Opposite side of the building where I met the security:
Sorry, I have no pics of the Kirk. I would have gone up in the back, but I was more concerned with this building at the time. I had a dream...you see!

That place looks amazing. Too bad you didn't get inside. Maybe next time, eh?

I've been in before, but my F^$#ing camera's batteries died on me when I turned it on! Maybe I would have gotten more than 50 feet into the first floor, those STOOPID smoke detectors scared the bejeesus out of me. (Thanks to this site I know what the beeping was!) I thought "oh shoot, alarm, runnn!" It was perfect, there was a previously opened window that was SHEETMETAL'D over the next time I got there. (When I took those pics.) It's a pretty popular site too. Lots of guys get busted...security was like "just leave and don't come back." I'll give 'em a few months to forget me lol. I just wanna get to the top floor to see what's up there, for more of my comfort than anything else. The thing is, I've got an "in." My boss know's the owner, so hopefully one day before they start renovating I'll get official permission to be there and take some killer pics. =]

I know all about those smoke detectors scarin' the (insert random body fluid here) outta you. Haha...
Also, there is nothing wrong with getting permission. It is some people's opinion that it takes the fun out of UE, but I say risk free exploring is very relaxing. You can focus on taking better shots and so forth without looking over your shoulder every minute.

| | | I've already posted these elsewhere so I apologize if they bore you - I guess I'm just especially proud of this because it was the first place that I just saw, and figured out how to get in by myself without any resources and with knowing minimal information about the place 1.

That's the locally and maybe more famous Hudson River Psychiatric Center. I've been told that it's typical 50's hospital design, but there's something so relaxing being there.

I would love to see that place some time, or any mental institute for that matter

| | | Just some shots from my favorite spot.
You know I climbed that shit.
This is why I love this place, birch tree on the roof!
In case you wondering what the building looked like. [last edit 5/15/2007 2:17 AM by Free Baller - edited 2 times]

| | | Not quite an infiltration - this was a very organized night bike ride of the Port of Long Beach. However, I think all the pictures I've posted are in areas that are accessible to the public - obviously not encouraged, but there were no gates or checkpoints to get access, just roads.

| | | Doing what I can for the moment. My point is that I think the area will get lots of cop hassles, and the cops will chase you off. It is an area that they will consider threatened by terrorists. Technically legal, functionally problematic. Technically legal helps in court, not when talking to the cop. (and for me it's all about the pictures)

| | | I guess I should show more of myself. I am too interested in everybody elses stuff! Here's some stuff I've done. I have been exploring for years before ever hearing about Urban Exploration, but at least now I have a fancy name to call it when my friends ask what I'm doing. I just got back into photography recently. I took two years of photography in school, but the teacher sucked at it and we only had one camera to share between seven students (poor rural schools always get the shaft). Here's some of the stuff I've been into recently. I live in the middle on no-where, so I make due with whatever the prairies have to offer, other than the occasional trip to the City. Radio Towers
Homesteads
Barns
Campus stuff
Very creepy library basement
Steam Tunnels
Graveyard fun
Grain Elevator fun
Library adventures
