While they can be artistic, if they're undesirable to the owner of the property painted and it is costly/time consuming to bring back to pre-loss conditions, if at all possible, is plain criminal damage.

Yeah. That's pretty simple and obvious, right?

But a lot of twats on here will basically say that you are a graf-loving, commie bastard for saying that.

mutantMandias may cause dizziness, sexual nightmares, and sleep crime. ++++ mutantMandias has to return some videotapes ++++ Do not taunt mutantMandias

mutantMandias is something more than human, more than a computer. mutantMandias is a murderously intelligent, sensually self-programmed, non-being

Who cares what you call it? Anything done on someone else's property without permission is vandalism.

Do it in your own bedroom (next to your poster of that pimped-out Hummer perhaps), or on your own house and see how that feels.

Anyone who says anything else is a deluded child.

i dont like how everyone is acting like trespassing is perfectly legal...keep in mind what we do is very against the law also. we just have more respect for the site. thats what people dont understand.

some graffiti is art used to express...and yet other can be immature little pricks

art or not its a reality

UER might as well be crack...

VicariousVader, nice pictures! Where did you get them from?

My favorite is the one that says, "Good morning, Lemmings."

I Like these two from TheVicariousVadder:

- Fight apathy or don't
- Good morning lemmings
- Elevator button turned into asteroid game

Nice graffiti pics!

Ok, my personal opinion: there is such a thing as artistic graffiti. But it's still wrong if you're tagging up someone else's property. If you're a graffiti artist, you can find other locations to display your art. You don't need to splash it all over various abandoned buildings. Because, artistic or not, if you're going to mark up someone else's property, it's considered vandalism.

I also do not like the whole vandalism thing. I have seen some nice looking graffiti, but it is usually on the side of a train car...something that any business owner would be pissed at given that it was their train car/ property in general.

Good pick/post uLiveAndYouBurn!

Just picked up Banksy's book "Banksy: Wall and Piece" Has excellent examples of stencil/graffiti art. A lot of his messages are quite funny too.

Wall and Piece was published in 2006 by Century publishers for those who are interested. ISBN 1844137872 or 13 9781844137879 are the exact identifiers for the publication.

banksy sold out a while ago
blek le rat was doing stencils of rats way before banksy made them himself, blek has been doing stencils longer
but I have to admit, I recently went to a banksy art show
his art attracts me and then disgusts me at the same time
I dont know
but check out blek le rat
http://bleklerat.free.fr/

and anyone who supports shepard fairey's "artwork" think twice
