Yeah, I called a few weeks ago asking if they still gave tours, and the guy said they were resuming tours in a few weeks, but you can take your own boat up and give yourself a tour. When I de-winterize my boat and if we get a small group together I guess i could take some people.

That sounds pretty cool. I might convince myself to paddle out there when it gets warmer.

So it's all good if we go out there now? If it is I might be able to borrow a pretty sweet boat from work to get us out there. All we would have to do is chip in for gas.

With the price of gas.............wouldn't just be cheaper to buy the Island and live there?

haha very well could be. If The FNG can get the boat that'd be sweet, but I'm content kayaking/canoeing (sp?) out there. Besides, I'm not to sure I want to take my boat out not knowing if there are any dockable places and with not having much boating experience without having checked it out first. In this case it might be better to kayak out there. As I said before, I'm only free the 14th, 15th, and possibly the 16th of this month, so anytime then I'm good.

The boat I want only burns 4-5 gallons an hour at cruise speed, and we wouldnt need to go that fast (it has a 7.4L V-8). To get it though it would have to be a weekday and one of the guys from work would have to come as it's a company boat.
I've been out there before and saw a dock. Getting out of a kayak there may be really hard due to the rocks and the dock is pretty high off the water. Also it's five or six miles one way from the nearest public location we can launch from. Maybe we can all launch from Ft. Monroe if we do kayaks, but thats not much closer and the currents out there are still going to be a real mother.

I'll leave it up to yall, I'm up for either.
