| | | Shelter 19 is one of the reserved ones, so probably a lot of people. We should meet away from reserved ones to find each other better. I think 9 is still open. I'll update as things change.

So then its at 1:00 on the 19th in NN park at shelter 9? Should someone reserve that shelter?(if so does it cost money?) Are we just meeting up and then doing some exploring? Do you guys want to turn this into a BBQ type thing before we go exploring? we are exploring right? Im going to register this as an event in the events section. Id like to get the info down though. http://www.uer.ca/...nt.asp?eventid=239 [last edit 4/22/2007 9:47 PM by Rain Maker - edited 2 times]

| | | Geocaching is also a good way to scout new locations. Your already driving all over the place. I still have a travel bug from my last cache. Waiting until June when I hit Nags Head for a week to place it.

| | | Ok This is how I saw it going. I thought we would meet up at 1pm and introduce ourselves and talk a little about UE and what we've done and what we want to do next. Maybe set up a time to meet once a month. One month on the peninsula one on the southside and so on... Then head out to do some UE. If you guys wold like to sit and have burgers also it's cool by me. Wouldn't be bad to have some food while we talk. Lets just hash out the details so everyone knows whats going on. Please remember if you know anyone else on the boards that is local, make sure you send out an invite. Peace BPG

| | | What makes a monthly meeting nice is everyone on the southside scouts out there and everyone on the peninsula scouts over here. Gives up a lot of opportunity to see more areas by sharing information with people who UE and can be trusted to respect it. Make sure you look for locals on the board who want to meet up next month.

| | | I realise this has probably already been done before, but I just returned to the area and I'm looking for some exploring buddies. Organised or just a real small group, anything would be good. I'm in shape, have eyes and ears like a fox, and I'm really up for any kind of exploration. Whether it's structures, ruins, occupied, draining, tunneling, natural, I'm down. I just need to get out. It's been awhile, and I hate to lone it. I'm even up for road trips if that's what it takes. So if you're in the area and you want to do some scouting/exploring/ect, drop me a line either here or in my mailbox. Cheers

| | | Depending on the tides you may be able to walk to Ft. Wool, because there is a big pile of riprap that extends between the HRBT island and Ft. Wool. Sounds pretty risky though. Ft. Monroe MWR does rent boats though...
