| | | Given that I own one of the cars you're talking about I know exactly what you mean. Handles like a dream, which I think is more useful in any sort of getaway situation. I just had to correct the idea that an acura was fast. Very few acuras are fast and the FF kiddies all seem to think they are. I have too many freaking hondas revving on me all the time. When I get the chance to educate them I have to take it. They are quality cars, but they are not fast.
Also, I doubt it handles that well, because I'm sure it's FWD. It's very difficult to achieve a weight balance better than 60/40 in FWD.

| | | Unless it's built and turboed it's not going to be impressive. Built and turboed could get you anywhere from 200-300hp daily (I don't know much about these cars as their canadian only) Some weight reduction, etc... It could be relatively fast. I guess it's all based on what you consider fast. I would be curious as to what you've done. I have been showed up by one very plain looking civic before. It was b18 swapped and turboed. Still not particularly fast, but faster than me.

| | | word to that. i drive a *STOCK* 96 civic coupe. 1.6L sohc. 5 spd. i get revved at from everyone; the clueless riceboys with their super-wing and body kit think that they're somehow faster after they added 100 lbs of bullshit to their car and made no mods to the engine. the domestic goons can't seem to tell that my car is stock, i'm not a ricer, don't wanna race, and have nothing but respect for V8 torque-monster power. (i just can't afford the gas, and i'd rather have a light, spry car, that handles well.) Not stock? who cares! without a serious rebuild and some big boost, the best you're gunna get out of a NA singlecam is 160 or 170... the DOHC (b16) might break 200, NA, with some SERIOUS mods (headwork, port/polish, header, individual throttlebodies from a CBR929). all in all, you'll still get shown by any V8 camaro/mustang/etc as for owning one of the cars that we're speaking of, nippon? muscle? mopar? old school or new school? | | | Well, I was trying to keep identifying info out of this, but I can't very well have a car conversation without getting into specifics. NA 944. Pretty much considered the best handling production car of the 80's. At only 150 ponies and 2,700lbs it's not all that fast, but like I said, handles like a dream.
