Disused firehall and....greenhouse???

Yeah, I don't get it, either. I truly don't know if it was/is a old firehouse for sure...it does have a green house on the right side facing the front. A vintage fireengine in the garage, and one rotting in the rear. Check it out...see what you think it may have been. I can't tell from the sign shot. *shrugs*.

Camera: Canon EOS Rebel/K2
Aperture: 2.8?
Exposure: f125
Film: Fuji Superia 800

This is of the back reels of the truck in the rear of the site. Doesn't look like it's been used in a while. I could have adjusted the flash to expose longer here, but ten seconds sounded good at the time.

Hose, and nozzle from a long time ago. This part of the truck was VERY rusty, and dry rotting had claimed most of the fire hose.

Carborator. Old skool style...Shazzaammm!!!

Greenhouse.

Skeletal framework.

This is what's left of the sign and lettering. I have no idea what is spelled out once-apon-a-time, but guesses or answers are welcome. The area sneaks up on you if you are not looking around a bit, and you can miss it. No posted signs, no signs of similar nature, except for the decade old ADT sticker fading away from UV rays on the front, glass doors. Still, I stayed out. There was power still to the building, prehaps powering a ADT system still installed? Didn't want to find out. Not much to see anyways..as I peered in the windows. Cool place to walk around, though.

Ahh..inside the trizzuck, homie. Nifty old dials and I bet a pretty rough clutch.

Now, here is a shot I know could have turned out better with the lighting. Some dumb reason, I had a 10 second exposure set still. I guess due to my efforts to try and keep the sunset out of it, which didn't work to well. I still like the photo, anyhoo.

No shit Canuck, what I mean is that Inlet and Old Forge were where I spent my summers;

Last time I was there, the FD wasn't unused.

Well, lol. The truck found it's resting place quite a bit away from Inlet! I have no idea how it got here, but it did; and she's a nice machine still. Never been to Inlet...have to go sometime and ask them if they are missing a fifty year old firetruck. :p

Actually, it is in great shape considering how it's been just dumped there for at least a decade. I looked at the back, where most of the rust is; for the most part, everything is intact. I have one more photo here of the gauge panel, which the chrome is still very shiny and clean. I relected in it, but couldn't really avoid it. It almost looks as if you could just crank it up, and hear the engine roar. I was very impressed with it, as I do have a love for old utility trucks.

Intrument panel. The gauges look still very operational.

The side door, and Company. Not close to home.

A distant shot of the old engine was nice, too.

Uhh..I think it was a refridgerated trailor. Not too sure. It does look like an explosion happened to it. It was the strangest thing on the site, to say the least. Here are a few of it:

Cooling fans of some type. Look like they would be good for a large motherboard.

Framework torn to shreds.

Other than the dash, no. I couldn't open the doors, so it must be locked.

Thanks for the additional pix. I almost mistook the city of Inlet on the front of the truck for a label to the 6 inch inlet below the name. The pump panel looks to be in great shape as well. Those old trucks lasted a long time, too bad the company went ouf of business.

I figured it was probably purchased before or during the firehall's ( Inlet's ) RIP. Maybe bought directly or through an auction. Hard to say how the poor thing got there, so far away. And now rotting, with no care to it. I am just thankful it hasn't been damaged, vandalized, or graffed in anyway; and surprised. Lot of punks like to do that around here.
