What's the point of arguing on the internet? Do you think you will actually prove anything by telling each other how wrong and stupid the other person is?

like the old saying goes, "arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics. even if you win you're still retarded." i'm happy the experienced onces here don't have something to prove. i started this thread to know how accepted it is in this community to pack a gun. if all of you said it was a bad idea, i'd still take a gun but simply wouldn't mention it on the forum.

The American wild boar can be very nasty if cornered. http://www.suwanne....com/wild-boar.htm

excerpt from site:

Much of the wild hog's body language has to do with competition, aggression and dominance, or non confrontation and submission. A dominant boar looks it. He moves with a swagger and authority that proclaims his strength and virility. He will make demonstrations of his status by his bearing, but if there is any doubt that the other hog got the message, he'll deliver bursts of aggression

If your hunting razorbacks, you better be ready, have a .357, and a good dog wouldn't hurt. I've known one person who did hunt them, and they live up to their reputation. They're big, and mean if cornered. No thanks, I'll leave them be.

Wild hog hunting rules blackhawk! Javelinas, razorbacks and feral pigs will spoil you for store bacon! Personally, I'd advise an auto pistol, simply because they tend to run in large packs, and six may not be enough.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

I can't imagine why you need a weapon in the woods unless your attack by a wild bore, or a bear. In the woods I pack extra water...

If I was in PA I wouldn't worry about hiking in the woods much either. Here, different story.

Unless you got grizzlies I don't think I be too concerned. Most everything else will be happy to leave you alone if you do the same, except geese. Very dangerous.

I have a concealed carry permit for a Barret .50 cal sniper rifle; I bring it every time I go on a "mission".

Let's drop the bullshit, this has been done five hundred times before, and this kid is obviously looking for a reaction.

Well He got it.

In spades.

I got your tour winner right here pussies, at least he'd crash out trying.
